The UGS Quality Management System

UGS GmbH runs a quality assurance system that has been certified under ISO 9001 since November 1996. The current certificate relates to EN ISO 9001:2000 and is valid till October 2010.

The quality management system is documented in a UGS-specific Quality Management Manual which is equally binding for all UGS employees. This Manual is periodically updated and forms the basis for carrying out audit and certification procedures. It is supplemented by a number of specific guidelines and instructions concerning processes and work procedures.





The quality of goods and services provided by subcontractors is regulated in the Quality Management Manual and in the UGS General Purchasing Conditions. These regulations cover the entire range of activities from the initial purchase order to the assembly of goods on the construction site. The Quality Management Manual also contains regulations concerning the correct handling of equipment and goods which have been purchased and made available by the customer.
